Job Details
Role: Oracle EBS Finance Consultant Location: Birmingham, AL (100% Onsite)
Type: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for Oracle EBS R12 Financial modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and other related modules.
- Analyze and resolve functional and technical issues in the Oracle EBS R12 environment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform system configuration, customization, and personalization to meet client requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components) using tools like PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Workflow.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, provide solutions, and conduct user training as needed.
- Monitor system performance, apply patches, and perform upgrades to ensure system stability and compliance.
- Document technical and functional specifications, processes, and resolutions for future reference.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DBAs, and other consultants, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS R12 Techno-Functional Consultant with a focus on Financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials processes, setups, and configurations.
- Prior experience in a client-facing role with an IT service provider or consulting firm.
- Proficiency in technical development using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Workflow, and XML Publisher.
- Experience in supporting RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions).
- Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and Application Development Framework (ADF) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for support projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle EBS R12 certification in Financial modules.
- Familiarity with integration tools like SOA, Web Services, or Oracle Integration Cloud.
