About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with in-depth knowledge of trade settlement processes, trade feed integration, and post-trade workflows across multiple asset classes. The candidate will act as a bridge between business, operations, and technology teams to design, analyze, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in the trade lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the end-to-end trade flow - from trade capture and confirmation to clearing, settlement, and downstream reporting - and can translate that expertise into actionable business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Settlement & Post-Trade Operations

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for trade lifecycle and settlement processes across equities, fixed income, derivatives, ETFs, and other asset classes.

Document and analyze settlement workflows (T+1 and T+2) including trade affirmation, confirmation, clearing, and final settlement.

Partner with clearing and custodial teams to ensure timely and accurate settlements and resolution of trade exceptions.

Collaborate on initiatives to enhance straight-through processing (STP) and reduce operational risk.

Trade Feed Integration & Data Management

Analyze and map trade feeds from trading platforms, clearinghouses, and depositories (e.g., DTCC, Omgeo, Euroclear, Clearstream) to downstream systems.

Define data transformation rules, mappings, and reconciliation logic for trade capture, settlement instructions, and position updates.

Work with technology teams to design and validate ETL workflows, APIs, or message queues for seamless data integration.

Ensure data integrity, timeliness, and traceability across trade processing and reporting systems.

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

Gather, document, and validate business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and process flows).

Support solution design and testing for post-trade systems - including matching engines, reconciliation platforms, and settlement modules.

Lead UAT and coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to validate trade flow and settlement logic.

Provide business and technical support during implementation and production rollouts.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with front-office, middle-office, back-office, and technology teams to align system changes with business objectives.

Liaise with external vendors, clearinghouses, and depositories for feed specifications, testing, and integration issues.

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets, trade operations, or post-trade systems.

Strong knowledge of trade settlement processes, including clearing, matching, and reconciliation.

Experience integrating and analyzing trade feeds (e.g., trade confirmations, settlement instructions, position files).

Exposure to DTCC, Omgeo CTM/OASYS, SWIFT, or other post-trade infrastructures.

Solid understanding of multiple asset classes - equities, fixed income, derivatives, ETFs, and FX.

Excellent documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
