How You Will Make An Impact

• Architect and implement a scalable Azure-based data lake environment leveraging Databricks and modern cloud data tools.
• Operationalize and lead end-to-end data lake solutions, from ingestion to transformation to reporting.
• Build a data platform that enables business users to self-serve insights via tools like Power BI.
• Design and lead the development of a data warehouse strategy aligned with business intelligence needs.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI/ML capabilities into the ecosystem and develop supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data access patterns, security models, and governance frameworks.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of 5-10 data engineers and analysts, instilling modern best practices.
• Champion the adoption of data design patterns and architectures that scale with business growth.
• Serve as a thought leader in understanding market trends in data engineering and applying those insights.

Are You a Data Lake Architecture Rock Star?

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with at least 3-5 years hands-on leading data lake/warehouse buildouts.
• Demonstrated success personally architecting and implementing enterprise-scale data lake solutions in Azure.
• Expert in Databricks, Azure Data Services, and Power BI integration.
• Track record of enabling business teams to self-serve data and insights, reducing dependency on engineering for reporting.
• Strong grasp of data democratization principles, data modeling, and warehouse optimization.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML enablement within a modern data platform.
• Effective in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior talent.
• Skilled in recognizing both strategic and tactical gaps in data systems and resolving them hands-on.
• Experience managing small-to-midsized data teams, ideally within organizations undergoing digital transformation.
• Prior experience in consulting or advisory roles is a plus, though not required.
• Strong communicator who can interface between technical and business stakeholders seamlessly.
