Job Title: Software Integration Specialist

Location: 2700 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX 75261

Shift: 8:00a-5:00p CT M-F

Duration: 3-month contract

Description:

Temp-to-perm is possible depending on how the systems wind up being implemented at the end of the contract and whether site will need continued support
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Integration Specialist (Contractor) to assist with software integration between custom applications within our logistics facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting system logs, documenting and reporting bugs, performing manual and API testing, and supporting the overall integration process. This role requires basic SQL querying skills and the ability to write basic JavaScript functions to support system connectivity and automation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system logs and troubleshoot integration issues between custom applications.
  • Document and report software bugs, issues, and resolutions in an organized manner.
  • Assist in manual and API testing to ensure seamless software communication.
  • Perform basic SQL queries to validate and extract data from databases.
  • Write basic JavaScript functions to support integration processes and small automation tasks.
  • Collaborate with software developers, IT teams, and operations staff to resolve system integration issues.
  • Support ongoing improvements and updates to software integrations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in software integration, testing, or technical support within a logistics or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and analyzing system logs for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, including writing simple queries for troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Ability to write and modify basic JavaScript functions for integration support.
  • Strong documentation skills to log issues, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management systems.
  • Understanding of scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
