Sr. PC Technician
Top Consulting is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior PC Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software deployment with preferred experience in Windows 10 upgrade and migration projects. This role requires excellent technical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop support for end-users (hardware, software, and peripheral issues).
- Lead and execute Windows 10 and/or 11 upgrade and deployment projects, including data migration and user configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex PC and laptop hardware issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and IT equipment.
- Maintain inventory and track assets using asset management tools.
- Assist with imaging, patching, and software deployment using SCCM or similar tools.
- Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades, rollouts, and project planning.
- Document support tasks, configurations, and procedures for knowledgebase and compliance.
- Provide mentorship or guidance to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in desktop support or PC technician roles.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10 and/0r 11 deployments, upgrades, or migrations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, group policy, and user profile management.
- Experience with imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Ghost)
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment when needed.
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Microsoft MCP.
- Experience with Windows 11 upgrade planning or hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and help desk ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting remote and on-site users in enterprise environments.
- Preferred experience in the automotive and/or manufacturing industry.
