Description: Our client is currently seeking a COBOL Developer (6 Months Contract to Hire) at our client located in Harrisburg, PA.
Work Schedule - Hybrid - 1 Day in the Office per week
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Create, enhance, and maintain application solutions that meet the identified functional and non-functional business requirements
- Code/build application solutions in a COBOL/DB2/CICS environment from specifications provided by Requirements Analysts and Application Integration Architect
- Assist in migration and future support of current system in a cloud environment utilizing existing COBOL code
- Develop and execute unit tests and functional test coverage for assigned coding changes to ensure code quality
- Support Senior Developers in compiling detailed activity task management including recording work effort and providing estimates of time to complete tasks
- Provide rotating 24/7 on-call support in support of systems and applications in production
