Network Engineer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a Network Engineer on a contract basis to join one of the nation s largest mechanical construction organizations. The Network Engineer will manage, maintain, and design a complex network environment. This role involves both support (break-fix) and project-based work, including design and implementation of network solutions.

Location: Remote

This job expects to pay about $50 75 per hour plus benefits

What You Will Do:


  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, access points, and VPNs
  • Manage and support Cisco and Meraki network environments
  • Perform break-fix and root cause analysis of network incidents and outages
  • Design and implement network architectures in support of business and technical requirements
  • Work with Azure networking including virtual networks, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity
  • Administer and configure SonicWall firewalls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning and implementation
  • Maintain network documentation and diagrams
  • Ensure network security and compliance with best practices

What Gets You The Job:


  • 4 7 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and SonicWallsolutions
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking components and services
  • Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, switches, access points, and VPNs
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and break-fix skills
  • Experience with network design and architecture
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Certifications are a plus including CCNA, CCNP or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Experience working in highly available and secure network environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance tuning is a plus
