Focused on making care more accessible and transparent, they've developed a secure platform that simplifies the coordination process between care seekers and trusted providers. Their client base spans school systems, government bodies, and national organizations, all relying on their data-driven approach to streamline care pathways.
They're currently hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead the modernization of their data systems. In this role, you'll enhance backend infrastructure, refactor legacy schemas, and develop pipelines that support both analytics and operational workflows. You'll be a key player in scaling their data capabilities to support AI initiatives and improve delivery efficiency across a mission-critical platform.
Must be able to go onsite in Carlsbad 3x a week

Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role
- Strong expertise with PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance optimization, and managing large-scale relational data
- Proficiency with Python and experience working with SQL in data transformation and automation workflows
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or DBT
- Experience working in a Django-based backend environment
- Exposure to CI/CD for data systems and a basic understanding of observability/monitoring tools
- Understanding of real-time data systems and familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
Tech Breakdown:
- 100% Data Engineering (Python, SQL, Django, Airflow)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Redesign and optimize the company's PostgreSQL schema to ensure high performance and maintainability
- Overhaul and stabilize ETL/ELT pipelines to improve reliability and enable modular development
- Build scalable batch and real-time data flows to support internal teams and product features
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and testing across the data stack
- Create robust, accessible datasets to support dashboards, analytics, and AI tools
- Improve data validation processes to ensure consistent and clean inputs across the platform
- Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate data logic into the existing Django-based system
- Document systems and promote transparency in pipeline operations and architecture
