Overview
LMI is seeking a visionary and results-oriented leader to serve as a Master Data Governance SME for our DoD client's modernization effort to S/4 HANA. In this critical role you will support DoD leadership set strategic direction, support acquisition and implementation efforts, and provide expertise on all matters related to technology and innovation, playing a pivotal role in modernizing enterprise systems and operations to ensure mission effectiveness.

Responsibilities
- Support DoD client to develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with their mission and objectives.
- Review and make recommendations on data governance processes to optimize performance for the users while reducing short- and long-term costs.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and adoption of emerging technologies with the potential to enhance battlefield capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Work across client's organization to define data governance policies, data quality standards, data integration strategies, and develop master data designs that support critical business data effectively.
- Support the transition of aging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with a focus on modernizing platforms to S/4 HANA through multi-cloud and on-premises solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and industry partners across the enterprise to understand functional requirements and bridge the gap between technical solutions and operational needs.
- Advocate for effective technology governance, ensuring data security, compliance, interoperability, and responsible resource allocation.
- Build and manage a team of highly skilled IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Represent Government leadership in senior-level discussions with DoD leadership, external partners and stakeholders, including industry leaders, academia, and government agencies.
- Develop stakeholder briefings that provide the benefits and risks of technology recommendations, so concepts are understandable to leaders with less technical backgrounds.
- Stay abreast of the evolving technological landscape and identify potential threats and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of work experience in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of senior leadership and technical organization staff.
- Expertise in data modeling and data architecture design.
- Deep understanding of data management principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of the various types of master data within SAP.
- Knowledge of SAP's Master Data Governance (MDG) capabilities.
Desired:
- Master's degree in information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of the Defense & Security (DNS) capabilities within SAP.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technology leadership role within a complex organization.
- Proven track record of success in managing and implementing large-scale ERP systems, with a strong understanding of the SAP platform and SAP interfaces with other technology solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management protocols.
- Experience with technologies such as: S/4 HANA, cloud service technologies, and data interface/analytics technologies.
- Experience working with Navy or other DoD organizations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
