Job Description
As a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Experimentation & Analytics, you will serve as a strategic analytical partner to senior leadership, translating complex data into compelling narratives that directly influence business strategy and decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of advanced statistics, business strategy, and product innovation—requiring you to design sophisticated experiments, apply causal inference methods, and deliver actionable insights that drive customer satisfaction, operational readiness, and revenue outcomes.
Your day-to-day will involve leading A/B testing and experimental design initiatives, applying Bayesian methods and causal modeling to uncover insights, and partnering with business operations, product, and engineering teams to evaluate program performance. You'll work closely with data engineering to ensure scalable, trustworthy data infrastructure supports your analyses, while collaborating with fellow data scientists in a highly innovative environment where your work directly shapes customer experiences and business results.
This role exists to bring analytical excellence and experimental rigor to critical business decisions, ensuring that product launches, operational changes, and customer experience improvements are grounded in statistical evidence and measurable impact. You'll report to data science leadership while working autonomously to define success metrics, establish measurement frameworks, and mentor junior analysts. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying advanced statistical methods to real-world business problems, thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent projects, and sees opportunities for innovation rather than just responding to assigned tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of A/B tests and experimental methodologies to evaluate program and product performance
- Apply advanced statistical techniques including Bayesian methods and causal inference to improve customer experience and reduce friction in assisted service flows
- Perform business analysis using statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining to drive measurable revenue outcomes
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to define success metrics and establish robust measurement frameworks ensuring clear outcome tracking
- Develop data-driven narratives and actionable insights that inform senior leadership strategy and guide business decision-making
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to guide development and maintenance of reliable data marts enabling scalable, trustworthy analysis
- Determine best practices and deliver recommendations for current business operations based on analytical findings
- Work directly with internal clients to identify analytical requirements and translate business questions into rigorous statistical frameworks
- Produce ad hoc data analysis and reports supporting time-sensitive business needs and strategic initiatives
- Mentor and guide less experienced data analysts and scientists, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous learning
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for statistical rigor and communication clarity
Required Experience/Skills

- Proven ability to extract insights from complex data and communicate compelling data-driven stories that influence executive decision-making
- Excellent SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and pipeline development across large-scale datasets
- Expert proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik) to create clear, impactful presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and end-to-end quantitative thinking skills with ability to frame ambiguous business problems analytically
- Experience establishing measurement frameworks and defining success metrics aligned with business objectives
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and analytical rigor
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
- Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across business operations, product, and engineering teams
- Passion for mentorship and developing analytical talent within teams

- Background working in fast-paced innovation-focused teams where experimentation drives culture and product development
- Knowledge of data engineering principles and experience collaborating on data infrastructure design
- Experience implementing or developing systems to capture business operation information
- Previous work in customer journey analytics, conversion optimization, or revenue analytics for consumer or small business products
