Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 Months likely to be extended
Position Overview:
The architect will work with application teams to review their current architecture, design their future state architecture, and assist in the migration to either a Colo or Azure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers to help application teams with light refactoring and moving their applications.
- Work in tandem with software engineers to embed application teams on the ground to get the work done.
- Provide architectural guidance and support during the migration process.
- Ensure adherence to guardrails and standards set by the client.
- Offer direction and support to application teams, addressing any architectural questions and concerns.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud architecture.
- Experience with on-premises and Colo environments is beneficial.
- Financial industry knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively with application teams and provide guidance.
Additional Information:
- The architect will be involved in meetings to build out the future state architecture based on the current state.
- They will support the application teams through the mechanics of the migration process.
- This role is crucial for ensuring the successful migration of applications to the desired environment while maintaining compliance with existing standards and providing necessary support to the application teams
