Overview:

CXI Staffing is seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Financials IT Consultant to support ERP operations and strategic initiatives for a government agency in Columbus, OH. This position requires on-site presence and offers a long-term opportunity to contribute to the optimization of statewide financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Financials modules including AP, AR, GL, Asset Management, Billing, Budgeting, Procurement, and more.

  • Collaborate with business users, infrastructure teams, security, and managed services partners to maintain and improve the ERP system.

  • Drive continuous improvement and stability of the PeopleSoft Financials platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and service-level commitments.

  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the ERP managed services provider (MSP) for issue resolution and system enhancements.

  • Lead root cause analysis for production issues and track resolution progress.

  • Review and validate technical deliverables from MSP, including code and enhancement estimates.

  • Support testing and rollout of new features and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Coordinate with FIN SFTP account owners to manage interface communication and maintenance notifications.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing PeopleSoft ERP systems, especially Financials 9.x modules.

  • Deep functional knowledge across a broad set of modules: AP, AR, GL, Billing, Asset Management, Strategic Sourcing, Commitment Control, Travel & Expense, Procurement, and Self-Service.

  • Strong background in application support, incident management, and ERP performance monitoring.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating with onshore MSPs or outsourcing partners.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365 tools: Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

  • Prior experience supporting financial ERP systems within government or large public sector organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background working with or within Tier-1 ERP consulting firms or Oracle/PeopleSoft implementation partners.

  • Experience with ERP upgrades, patching, and image management.

  • Familiarity with IT service management best practices (ITIL) and project frameworks (PMP).

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.

  • Technical familiarity with SQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).

  • PeopleSoft and/or Oracle certifications are a strong plus.
