Goldman Sachs Asset and Wealth Management Division:


As one of the world's leading asset managers, our mission is to help our clients achieve their investment goals. To best serve our clients' diverse and evolving needs, we have built our business to be global, broad and deep across asset classes, geographies and solutions.


Engineers in the AMD Finance Data Engineering help ensure AMD division meets all of its financial control and reporting obligations. Working in small and nimble project teams, they build critical and complex applications to calculate Financial Metrics and monitor the division's Assets, Revenues and Expenses and support various financial and management reporting needs across multiple business teams.


Using a combination of computer science, finance and math skills, they build and support complex and critical software products that meet the ever-changing business needs and regulatory environment. They collaborate very closely with the management reporting and controllers business teams to transform business rules into working applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS


* In an Agile environment manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis to coding, testing, UAT, implementation and maintenance


* Develop high level/detailed technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans


* Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that provides exposure to all areas of Finance


* Understand and respond to business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation


*Guide junior team members by providing technical expertise and show strong attitude towards following best software engineering practices.

SKLLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR


* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.


* Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts


* Strong Full-stack technical design and development skills and experience.


* Technologies: Web/RESTful service development: HTML 5, JavaScript/AngularJS/React, JSON


* Technologies: Linux and shell scripting, Java, Scala, Qlikview


* Technologies: AWS, Snowflake, memSQL, DB2, HDFS, Distributed Computing, Spark


* Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language (e.g. Java)


* In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design


* Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team


* Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical & business audiences and working globally


* Strong problem solving and analytical skills


* Interest in finance



Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
