Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead all aspects of development, configuration, management, support, and usage of assigned application systems for client business units to meet ongoing technology needs. This includes the development of Workday Prism, Workday BIRT, Workday Studio, and other Workday objects and assets. The position also entails managing relationships with associated 3rd party vendors, including ongoing support, contractual, and cost reviews.

Duties:

  • Leads all aspects of development, configuration, management, support, and usage of assigned application systems for client business units to meet ongoing technology needs.
  • Development of Workday Prism, Workday BIRT, Workday Studio and other Workday objects and assets.
  • Manages associated 3rd party vendor relationships, including ongoing support, contractual and cost reviews.
  • Leads project scope development with project managers. Communicates' project status and time estimates for remaining work on a regular basis to appropriate staff. Prepares project status reports and conducts status meetings, as needed, with the product sponsor(s), business expert(s), user design team and senior management.
  • Leads the team in problem solving and system design sessions to address business needs and projects and when needed based on changing needs, addresses the design and architecture to ensure successful completion of the projects.
  • Attracts, develops, coaches and supervises team staff. Manages activities with complete integrity and in accordance with Association policies, systems, practices and programs.
  • Participates in Business Technology planning process providing resource allocation information, high-level project estimates and technical mentorship to all departments and levels within the organization.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of HRIS and Finance Experience (Workday)
  • 5+ years of technical Workday experience (Workday Prism and Workday Studio)
  • 1-2 years of experience as a lead
  • Comprehensive technical skills with Java, API Methods and system design

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead all aspects of development, configuration, management, support, and usage of application systems for client business units to meet ongoing technology needs.
  • Extensive experience in developing Workday Prism, Workday BIRT, Workday Studio, and other Workday objects and assets.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing 3rd party vendor relationships, including ongoing support, contractual, and cost reviews.
  • Strong skills in leading project scope development.
