Responsibilities
1. Data Modeling & Design
Develop, refine, and finalize end-to-end data models across multiple business
domains.
Leverage out-of-the-box Salesforce and NetSuite data structures while designing
additional components to meet future-state business needs.
Create logical and physical data models for CRM and ERP integrations.
2. Documentation & Deliverables
Responsible for producing the following for each data domain:
Data Dictionary
Data Model (Logical/Physical)
Field Validation Rules
Source-to-Target Mapping from current systems to future-state Salesforce and
NetSuite models.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate data
needs.
- Collaborate with Salesforce and NetSuite implementation partners to unblock
dependencies related to builds and data migrations.
Partner with the Internal Data Team to ensure consistency and alignment with
enterprise standards.
4. Discovery & Iterative Delivery
Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to quickly identify gaps in existing models.
Validate assumptions and refine models through iterative cycles with stakeholders.
5. Quality, Compliance & Hand-off
Ensure data models meet best practices, system constraints, and business rules.
Prepare final model documentation for hand-off to system implementers and
development teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Enterprise Data Design.
Strong hands-on experience creating:
o Data dictionaries
o Entity relationship diagrams (ERDs)
o Validation rules
o Source-to-target maps
Proficiency with modeling tools such as Lucidchart, ER/Studio, ERWin, Miro, Draw.io,
or similar.
CRM/ERP Expertise
Direct experience with Salesforce Data Model (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, FSC
preferred).
Good understanding of NetSuite ERP Data Structures.
Ability to align custom models with out-of-the-box system schemas.
Technical Skills
Understanding of ETL / ELT, middleware, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with data transformation rules and migration strategies.
Ability to assess source systems and define target structures.
Functional Domain Experience (Preferred)
Experience with one or more of the following domains:
Supply Chain (Orders, Inventory, Units)
Record-to-Report (Chart of Accounts)
Order-to-Cash (Cases, Field Service, Invoices, Order Line Items)
Vendor Management (Vendors, Bills, Purchase Orders)
Lead-to-Close (Leads, Opportunities, Sales Orders, Quotes, Assets)
Master Data (Accounts, Contacts, Products, Price Books)
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills; able to run discovery sessions and explain complex data
concepts.
Ability to work at speed in an iterative, dynamic environment.
Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
