Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Technical Product Senior Manager - CAR-T Manufacturing Systems to support the North America (NA) region for our Advanced and Cell Therapy Manufacturing business in Raritan, NJ.

Working within an impactful team (HPT) environment, this position will have main responsibility for supporting/advancing J&J IT systems capability related to Advanced and Cell Therapies strategic, operational and project activities and closely engaging with Supply Chain regional and site(s) functions. Individual will work with Senior IT/Business Management to identify and prioritize IT solutions and coordinate the consistent implementation of these solutions across the business. They will exhibit strong influencing skills and determination for driving the organization towards consistent technology solutions aligned to an overall IT strategy. The TPM should have a strong view of external IT capabilities in the market and how they can be applied to drive business value for J&J.

We are looking for a strong leader that will be the primary IT partner for the NA region operations leadership team with overall accountability of the plant technology product roadmap, portfolio, and investment strategy, aligned to Business and JJT strategy for the regional manufacturing sites within the Advanced and Cell Therapies division. In addition, it has the responsibility to ensure that the IT products that support the manufacturing site are coordinated efficiently to deliver application roadmap strategies using Agile and Release Management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represents IT at the NA region and works across the senior regional business leaders to set/influence supply chain strategy and ensure strategic IT alignment and partnership. Partners with business functions to shape and deliver business capabilities for the NA region while ensuring reliable and secure environment.
  • Leads the Cell Therapy manufacturing sites ecosystem as an IT manager with ownership of local products and works toward re-defining to a platform or standard product according to JJT strategy.
  • Leads and supports all related Project and Portfolio Implementations and related investments.
  • Partner with build and run teams of applications as well as infrastructure and automation support teams to achieve the desired Cell Therapy manufacturing reliability to meet business objectives.
  • Leads budget process, estimates the return on investment and business value, secures funding, plan and implements initiatives of digital transformation, data strategy, and data analytics.
  • Leads effective partnership, drives collaboration and execution with internal and external partners.
  • Supply Chain Information Technology strategist: Scans multiple internal/external technologies and services to help define the technology strategy to enable/enhance/drive our Advanced and Cell Therapies manufacturing business. The position will be responsible to develop product strategies, product capability roadmaps, and implement solutions in alignment with the Business Leaders, Head of Technology, the SC IT Architects, Technical Product Owners, and the JJ Technology Services partners.
  • Technical scope of knowledge includes manufacturing IT systems technologies , integration tools, embedded analytics, visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Investment manager: Defines priorities for business and associated technology investments, Accountable for all financials including CAPEX, OPEX, Business value realization, resource planning, and portfolio of investments management.
  • Program and Service Manager: Tracks progress of development in the context of the larger program. Reports back to the business on status on the delivery of features, functionality, and applications; has NA regional accountability.
  • Talent Leader: A leader and developer of talent; coach and mentor individuals to excel in product management; Passionately owns and role models diversity & inclusion.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in (Supply Chain/Manufacturing).
  • 5+ years of IT product (application) management, design, and solution in the deployment of major IT capabilities.
  • Work experience in regulated (manufacturing) environment, preferably in Cell Therapy Manufacturing.
  • Strong Leadership and People management experience required.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to resolve problems, prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners and to lead and empower teams, set the vision, drive technology strategy and roadmap, and build strong relationships.
  • Validated ability to network and orchestrate across technology organization and business partners, understanding business requirements, building links, and leading people, across different locations is preferred.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile.
  • Experience running budgets and financials.
Other:
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Role may require up to 20% travel.
