Detailed Job Description: The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Division of Epidemiology's Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems is charged to maintain and enhance the statewide Electronic Clinical Laboratory Reporting System (ECLRS), the Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS), and the Electronic Syndromic Surveillance System (ESSS). These are mission critical electronic systems to effectively monitor and respond to over 75 reportable diseases and to other public health emergencies and inform statewide policy decisions.
