Genesis10 is currently seeking a IT Developer with our client in their Jersey City, NJ location. This is an 11-month contract position.

Summary:
Finance & Risk Solutions is responsible for implementing both third party and in-house reporting solutions for Finance, Risk, and ALM-T sponsors. The team's scope includes engaging with multiple stakeholders, managing project, conducting business analysis, providing technical and functional support, and developing IT solutions aligned with best defined by the client.

Within Finance & Risk Solutions, you will support the Technical Innovation team in delivering Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advance automated solutions for NAR Finance, ALM-T, and RISK teams.
The position at a glance:
When required act autonomously in understanding and analyzing the business line's needs in one or more functional areas, with the aim of developing sustainable solutions that are consistent with the entity's strategic plan and the associated portfolio of requests

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of quality software solutions in accordance with the applicable best practices (maintainable, secure, documented, scalable, testable and in-line with the business line's needs).
• Provide application support. Includes elements of QA (environment management, running/re-running tests), together with problem solving.
• In detail:
  • The consultant will support the Technical Innovation team in the development and delivery of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning projects. Responsibilities includes:
  • Process and Solution Design - Analyze and design processes and solutions that enhance Finance, RISK, and ALM-T functions.
  • Product/Application Development - Contribute to the full software development life cycle, including design, development, testing and implementation.
  • Application Support - Maintain and support existing applications, identifying and resolving issues across various supported environments.
  • Business Consultation - Partner with business users, management, peers and technical teams to clarify requirements, address challenges, recommend improvements, and implement best practices.
  • Collaboration - Work effectively with peers across multiple locations to deliver solutions on time and in line with established quality standards.
  • Innovation - Provide insights and ideas from the marketplace to strengthen and advance client's technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Educational Foundation - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Python Expertise - 6-8 years of core experience in object-oriented programming with Python, including strong proficiency in libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data wrangling, analysis, and manipulation.
• Experience on Kubernetes Clusters, Dockers Containerization & Deployment, Knowledge of Apache AirFlow or Autosys scheduler tools
• Big Data Processing - Proven expertise in PySpark for large-scale data processing and database loading
• Database Proficiency - Skilled in data querying and manipulation using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• API and Data Handling - Experienced in API programming and adept at handling JSON, CSV, and other unstructured data from multiple systems.
• Front-End Knowledge - Familiar with JavaScript, Angular, CSS, and HTML.
• Communication and Collaboration - Strong communication skills to engage effectively with team members, technical peers, and stakeholders.
• Development Life Cycle - Knowledgeable in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with hands-on experience using tools such as JIRA, Client ALM, and Confluence.
• Machine Learning, Generative AI & Modeling Knowledge

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Plotly and Matplotlib for analyzing and presenting large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architecture and applications, including Dataiku or Databricks and competency with ETL tools.
• Understanding of finance and regulatory domains, with the ability to apply technical solutions in these contexts.

Pay rate range: $100.00 - $110.00 hourly
