What You Will Do

Join a team that's transforming healthcare through innovation. As a Staff Engineer, you'll play a critical role in developing life-changing medical technologies that improve patient outcomes and clinician workflows. This is a temporary 2-year opportunity to bring bold ideas to life in a fast-paced, regulated environment where precision and purpose drive every project.
  • Design and verify mechanical and electro-mechanical components, modules, and subsystems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project timelines
  • Translate clinical and user needs into detailed design inputs and system-level specifications
  • Execute advanced prototyping and testing to validate design performance and reliability
  • Analyze and resolve complex design challenges using engineering judgment and data-driven approaches
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and Design History Files, aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Manage documentation control and support equipment transfer and adaptation projects across manufacturing sites
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing) to drive product development from concept to launch
  • Lead or support Voice of Customer sessions to gather insights and refine design inputs based on clinician feedback

What you need:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in equipment design within medical devices, electronics, or regulated industries
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of Minitab, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with engineering drawings, GD&T, and documentation control systems
  • Advanced proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DFM principles and CAE tools
  • Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes relevant to medical device design
