Description
- Provides comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities, and ensures the facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations.
- Provides leadership, training, and direction to fellow staff members.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Develops economical, technically feasible, reliable substation physical and control designs.
- Serves as an expert to provide engineering solutions to engineering problems.
- Provides accurate engineering designs and products. Directs an engineering team for engineering and drawing productions.
- Provides accurate cost estimates for use in company budgeting procedures such as cash flow requirements are identified.
- Provides coordination and communication with other departments such that total project schedules and expenditures are maintained in accordance with commitments.
- Provides input for development of detailed project schedules and updates project management system to reflect the status of projects assigned.
Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited school in engineering or 5+ years industry experience as a practicing engineer and performing highly technical work of a specialized nature.
- Demonstrated knowledge of: Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in substation/control engineering principles and knowledge of other phases of engineering.
