Job Description:

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you'll contribute to impactful software engineering initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape scalable, cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on moderately complex software engineering projects and contribute to large-scale planning efforts.
  • Analyze and resolve technical challenges, applying a solid understanding of engineering principles, policies, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications using modern frameworks and tools.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering (or equivalent through education, military, or consulting experience).
  • 5+ years of Java development experience.
  • 4+ years of experience writing Java unit tests.
  • 4+ years of Spring Boot application development.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-native development (OpenShift, Tanzu, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS).
  • 2+ years of experience with automated functional testing using BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) tools.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Proficiency in Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with both relational (Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB or similar) databases.
  • Familiarity with Kafka or similar data streaming platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
  • Experience implementing non-functional requirements such as monitoring (APM tools), logging (e.g., Splunk), and distributed tracing.
  • Experience transitioning from monolithic to microservices architecture is a plus.
