Unhappy with performance of the guy in the role now. They were hacked beginning of sept. and were down for 5 weeks and nobody was working. Been back up and running since Oct. 4th. Some of the production pieces are still not up and running where they have to get the system back in line.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee our organization's technology infrastructure and ensure the efficient operation of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT service management, project management, and team leadership. You will be responsible for managing IT projects, maintaining system security, and providing technical support to staff while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Duties

  • Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Ensure the security of the organization's information systems by implementing best practices in information security and network security.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware and software procurement.
  • Provide technical support for desktop users, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Develop and implement business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Supervise a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
  • Manages the selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance of voice and data networking hardware, firmware, operating systems, and software.
  • Maintain documentation for all IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like SolarWinds and ensure optimal operation of all IT services.
  • Provides on call 24x7 support on a rotating basis.
  • Defines, documents, and ensures standardized processes and procedures, IT security policies, principles, and practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of IT governance.
  • Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS and Azure; experience with VMware vSphere is a plus.
  • Super user of SAP is a must.
  • Visual Basic for applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with network infrastructure including LAN/WAN design and management; knowledge of Cisco routers is preferred.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles for service management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Knowledge of remote access software, DHCP configurations, firewall management, and systems engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira for project tracking is advantageous. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience required.
  • 5+ years' experience in Information Technology and at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing corporate IT infrastructure required.
  • Advanced experience with DNS/DHCP Administration strongly preferred.
  • Advanced experience with analyzers, firewalls, IPSec and SSL VPN tunnels and clients, network cabling and design, proxies, routers, switches, video conferencing solutions, and vLANs strongly preferred.
  • Experience with VoIP infrastructure, IP phones, and/or Cloud PBX technologies preferred.
  • Experience with EDR, Cisco, NetApp, SonicWall, or Cisco Networking hardware preferred.
  • Experience with WiFi Access Points strongly preferred
  • Experience with the following server administration and technologies are strongly preferred:
