- Job Title: Governancee Specialist
- Location: Norfolk, VA
- Contract Layout: 6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire
- Contract Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 / Hourly Rate
- Starting Salary at Perm Hire: Negotiated with Client + Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Supports clients with key financial and budgetary, information technology, and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Communicates with team management through effective status reporting and demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned task areas.
  • Help manage and organize the Governance Site to include verifying documentation is present to support standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Help manage the technology audit life cycle with request list management, schedule meetings, walkthroughs, and manage any follow-ups needed.
  • Document and fulfill internal audit requests, external exam requests, RCSA Controls, SOX testing, and assisting with monitoring all functions of the audit process.
  • Support completeness and accuracy testing to support technology key process and controls verifying the quality of work meets the standards.
  • Support the development and delivery of the governance program through artifact management.
  • Assist with Change Management documentation, testing, review, and training.
  • Assist with cataloging governance program work.
  • Assist with yearly updates of Technology Program Documentation to include, but not limited to, Policies, Charters, Standards, and any supporting documentation.
  • Assist with the review of Risk Assessments of affiliates and annual assessments.
  • Perform quality assurance process to evaluate key controls verifying the completeness and accuracy of the process is correct.
  • Ensure process and design documentation for key process and controls are maintained.
  • Complete tasks designed to ensure the security of the organizations systems and information assets.
  • Ensure audit reports are accurate, objective, clear, concise, and constructive to provide management with value-added internal control and operations improvement opportunities.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Financial Analysis, Information Governance processes, or related field
  • Audit and/or Regulatory Compliance experience
  • Knowledge of IT audit processes and methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communications and organizational skills
