Job Details
Position: Control Center Operator II
Location: Bloomington, MN | Rotating Shifts
Type: 6 Months CTH
Operate and monitor renewable energy plants from a 24/7 control center using SCADA systems. Maintain safe, efficient, and compliant operations while minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor equipment, weather, and electrical output in real time.
- Adjust control systems to meet operational requirements.
- Perform diagnostics and coordinate maintenance responses.
- Execute substation switching and maintain data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and NERC standards.
- Lead and guide operators during shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate s degree (Bachelor s preferred).
- 5+ years in power operations or related field; military/maritime experience a plus.
- Knowledge of power theory, plant systems, and SCADA operations.
- NERC certification preferred or attainable within 12 months.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
