IT Infrastructure Consulting Professional

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current IT infrastructure, identify areas for optimization, and recommend improvements in line with Schaeffler s global standards and future roadmap.
• Design, implement, and manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and virtualization platforms.
• Consult with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and propose infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs and cybersecurity policies.
• Lead or support projects for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
• Collaborate closely with global Schaeffler IT teams and external vendors to implement best practices and align with corporate standards.
• Maintain documentation for designs, configurations, procedures, and training.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, providing guidance on their applicability within Schaeffler.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure consulting, engineering, or administration.
• Expertise in designing and managing physical and virtual infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Solid experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global/team environment.
