Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a member of our Global Team you will support the workplace transformation within a wide range of facilities that GM has around the world. You will work with an industry leading team that designs, builds/constructs, and maintains facilities and building assets for vast operating functions. Doing so in a safe, compliant, cost-efficient manner that utilizes advanced technology to support social & ecological sustainability. We build the future and not just plan for it!

What You'll Do

  • Engaged in providing facilities and plant electrical engineering services necessary for proper physical operation of a manufacturing facility including areas where contract services may be provided.
  • Provide electrical engineering support for building maintenance, power distribution systems, and facilities systems
  • Coordinate activities associated with site Electrical Safe Work Practices.
  • Provide electrical engineering support as required for manufacturing equipment
  • Support the design, construction, integration, plant installation, and successful launch of equipment and tools at the site and any ongoing improvement activities.
  • Provide technical direction and oversite of outside vendors including developing scopes of work and contract management and compliance

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Availability to provide unplanned emergency support as needed
  • This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution systems
  • Experience with PLC's, SCADA and controls technologies

Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is: $67,900 - $104,100. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
