Job Details
Job Title: Power BI Architect
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect for our data visualization and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI development and architecture, as well as an in-depth understanding of the insurance domain, including underwriting, claims, policy administration, and actuarial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable Power BI solutions that support business decision-making.
- Lead the architecture and best practices for Power BI environment setup, governance, security, and performance tuning.
- Create robust data models (star/snowflake schemas), DAX measures, row level security, and interactive reports/dashboards.
- Integrate data from multiple insurance systems including policy, claims, billing, and external third-party data.
- Implement data governance, data lineage, and security protocols (e.g., RLS) for compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Mentor junior developers and analysts in Power BI development and data visualization principles.
- Stay up to date with new Power BI features and industry trends in Insurance analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 14+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (including Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, and Dataflows).
- Strong experience designing enterprise-grade Power BI solutions and architectures.
- Prefer to have deep understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance processes (underwriting, claims, loss ratios, premiums, etc.).
- Proficient in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/data integration.
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory) is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
