Summary : The UNC HCS Project Manager - Supply Chain is responsible for coordinating Supply Chain projects and initiatives that positively impact our health care system and the patients we serve, while also being responsible for communicating key updates and data to stakeholders throughout our healthcare system. The Project Manager will work directly with Supply Chain leadership, Supply Chain team members, and various internal and external stakeholders, including operational leaders and clinicians, to keep projects on task and proceeding efficiently toward our goals. The Project Manager will also serve as a key resource in establishing and maintaining an effective communication cascade out to system leaders.

Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with Supply Chain leaders and teams, along with other stakeholders to plan, develop and implement major projects regarding the sourcing and/or management of supplies, equipment, and services.

2. Track progress of ongoing projects/initiatives while keeping stakeholders, both inside Supply Chain and out, on task.

3. Support projects via creation of needed documentation, presentation slides, compilation of financial reports, etc.

4. Arrange and schedule meetings with key project stakeholders, including hospital and healthcare system leaders and clinicians. Lead meetings as needed, in conjunction with Supply Chain team members.

5. Proactively create and present communication materials to keep stakeholders informed of current projects and performance data, including newsletters, monthly reports, etc.

6. Arrange, coordinate, and co-lead periodic business reviews with hospital and system leaders.

7. Is responsible for standardizing communications/presentation formats and processes for the Supply Chain division.

8. Work with peers to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures related to initiatives.

9. Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the UNC Health Care System.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Seven (7) years of experience in a supervisory, management or leadership role or Three (3) to Five (5) years of project management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Customer Focus: Excellent negotiating skills with win-win philosophy. Demonstrates the ability to resolve problems. Technical Expertise: Proficient with project management software, strong analytical skills and strategic planning experience. Coachability: Receptive to feedback, willingness to learn and embraces continuous improvement. Accountability: Ability to bring project to successful completion on time and within budget through political sensitivity. Fiscal responsibility: Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. Understands the relationship of the budget and resources to the strategic plan. Coaching: Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with physicians and clinical staff with the ability to tailor the message to the audience. Experienced mentor with a demonstrated tract record to talent development. Conflict Resolution: Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict. Finds agreement on issues and follows through on implementation. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Solving Problems: Ability to translate global strategy into short term accountabilities and is a strong team player who works collaboratively and is equally at ease with employees, peers and senior executives.
