RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager in Maryland Heights, MO.
Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to support our Data Management and Big Data initiatives. This individual will play a key role in leading 1-2 high-impact projects-depending on their skill set and experience-and will collaborate closely across technical and business teams. The exact projects will be aligned with the selected candidate's strengths and capabilities. This is a mid-to-senior level role requiring strong ownership, communication, and execution in a fast-paced, hybrid environment blending Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage and drive 1-2 projects within the Data Management/Big Data space
* Own and deliver key project artifacts: status reports, metrics, documentation, meeting minutes
* Identify, escalate, and resolve project conflicts while maintaining positive relationships across teams
* Adjust approach based on project type-ranging from highly technical with deep dependencies to more lightweight delivery-focused efforts
* Collaborate and integrate with adjacent teams, ensuring open lines of communication and transparency
* Deliver presentations and updates to leadership in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Lead day-to-day project activities including:
* Running and facilitating stand-ups and sprint ceremonies
* Coordinating cross-functional calls
* Proactively tracking status and follow-ups
* Communicating with leadership and partner teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within data management, data engineering, or big data environments
* Proven success managing projects in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall setting
* Deep understanding of the SDLC, including Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
* Strong track record in communication, coordination, and cross-team collaboration
* Strong interpersonal skills; Able to manage conflict professionally and work -in harmony- with various teams
* Excellent documentation and reporting skills
* Comfortable with owning calls, running meetings, and driving execution from start to finish
* Able to proactively manage up-providing leadership with updates, metrics, and risks without being asked
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
* Experience with mobile caching or data-intensive projects
* Familiarity with enterprise data platforms or big data technologies
* Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, etc.)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
