Looking for Cybersecurity Consultant

Location: 345 Park Avenue, New York, NY (Hybrid 3 5 days/week)
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cyber / IT Risk Consultant to design, coordinate, and deliver engagements across cybersecurity, IT risk, controls testing, emerging tech, and regulatory compliance in the financial-services domain. The role involves assessing control maturity, identifying gaps, and providing senior-level recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead/coordinate client engagements covering:
- IT strategy & transformation programs
- Agile/DevOps, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Management/Governance
- Emerging Tech (AI, automation, robotics, cognitive)
- General IT Controls (GITCs), Application Controls Testing
- Regulatory/Compliance (NYDFS, NIST 800-53, FFIEC, OCC)
- Assess capability maturity and identify gaps in design/execution of controls.
- Communicate issues & recommendations to senior management.
- Work with client leadership to design and implement IT risk & control frameworks, sustainable solutions, and operating models.
- Complete executive summaries and final reports, and review engagement workpapers per client/industry standards.
- Contribute to internal practice development (knowledge base, thought leadership, marketing collateral).
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience in cybersecurity, IT risk consulting, internal audit, or controls testing within financial services.
- Knowledge of governance, risk, and security tools and operating processes.
- Familiarity with NYDFS, NIST 800-53, FFIEC, OCC requirements.
- Ability to work with senior management and deliver clear reports/executive summaries.
- Strong communication, project management, and documentation skills.
