Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Client: Immediate Interview and Hiring for Hybrid Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Medical Billing Specialist with a strong working knowledge of AdvancedMD billing software. The ideal candidate will initially focus on the implementation of AdvancedMD and will later transition into managing the full revenue cycle, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, collections, and reporting. This role requires high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of navigating AdvancedMD efficiently to optimize billing processes and ensure timely reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Billing Processes: Oversee and manage the full billing process using AdvancedMD.


• Charge Entry & Claims Submission: Enter charges, create claims, and ensure timely and accurate submission to insurance payers.


• Claim Review & Resubmission: Review, edit, and resubmit denied or rejected claims as needed.


• Payment Posting & Account Reconciliation: Post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.


• Aging Report Monitoring: Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding claims to reduce accounts receivable (AR) days.


• Billing & Collection Reports: Generate and analyze billing and collection reports using AdvancedMD.


• Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and internal policies.


• Collaboration: Work with providers, office staff, and patients to resolve billing issues.


• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline revenue cycle operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience:




• 3+ years of medical billing experience required.


• At least 2+ years using AdvancedMD billing software (required).




• Technical Skills:




• Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and payer rules.


• Experience with insurance claims, EOBs, and denial management.


• Strong Excel and reporting skills to analyze financial and billing data.




• Attention to Detail:




• Ability to manage high-volume billing while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.




• Communication & Problem Solving:




• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.




• Independence:




• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare or medical billing.


• Familiarity with prior authorizations and eligibility verification.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
