Location: Hybrid from Alexandria, VA

Years Experience: 7 years Professional Experience

Education: Bachelor s Degree Required

Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Required Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications may include ITIL, ServiceNow, and/or Microsoft focused certifications.

Key Skills:

  • Experience managing deployments via Azure pipelines.
  • Experience with version control systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Coordinating changes to configuration items to ensure that only authorized modifications are implemented.
  • Ensure configuration management policies are followed.
  • Conduct audits and verifications to ensure that the configuration items are correctly implemented and maintained.
  • Coordinating changes to the IT environment to minimize disruption and ensure that changes are properly tested and documented.
  • Supporting the government with change and release management of new or updated software and hardware components, ensuring proper testing and deployment.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
  • Automatically provisioning and de-provisioning virtual machines, storage, and network components based on demand, while leading the development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Streamlining application and update deployments using automation tools to ensure timely and issue-free rollouts.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Will need to be able to be onsite at NCUA facility as needed, located in Alexandria, VA; otherwise, the role is able to be performed remotely when NCUA site attendance is not required.
  • Experience with version control systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps automation, and change management.
  • Experience managing deployments via Azure pipelines.
  • Current or previous release management experience desired.
  • Experience defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Experience maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
  • Preferred certifications may include ITIL, ServiceNow, and/or Microsoft focused certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem skills.
  • Familiarity with federal standards and regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT and business units.
