Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Firewall/Proxy Engineer to safeguard the Bank s technological and digital infrastructure against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and security risks. The role involves assessing networks, applications, and systems for vulnerabilities, implementing robust security controls, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, remain current with industry best practices, and adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto Firewalls, including Panorama centralized management.
Configure, monitor, and maintain ZScaler solutions to secure network access.
Perform basic troubleshooting of network traffic to identify and resolve connectivity or security issues.
Utilize NSX Firewall for micro-segmentation and network security within virtualized environments.
Assess and remediate security vulnerabilities in networks, applications, and systems.
Implement and enforce policies to protect organizational assets and sensitive information.
Monitor for and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
Maintain deep knowledge of current and emerging security threats, trends, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into network and infrastructure designs.
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls (including Panorama). (Highly Desired)
Experience with ZScaler security solutions. (Required)
Basic troubleshooting of network traffic. (Required)
NSX Firewall administration experience. (Required)
Python scripting for firewall automation and API integrations. (Nice to Have)

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in banking or financial services security environments.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, FFIEC, NIST).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in network security contexts.
