Datacenter Operations Technician Join Our Dynamic Tech Team!
Are you someone who enjoys working hands-on with servers, cables, and network gear in a fast-paced environment?
We are looking for a Datacenter Operations Technician with solid experience to join our 24x7 infrastructure operations team.
You will play a key role in keeping our Datacenter humming smoothly from racking and cabling to troubleshooting and vendor coordination.
This role is for someone who has prior hands-on experience in an Enterprise Datacenter environment and enjoys being on the front lines of technology operations.
What You'll Be Doing. Day-to-Day Operations.
Install and set up of servers, switches, routers, and other hardware devices.
Perform cable patching and labelling activities as per the Datacenter standards.
Keep detailed records of tasks in the ticketing system and inventory system.
Configure basic network interfaces (e.g., KVM, DRAC/ILO).
Troubleshooting & Support Resolve network-related issues and perform cable swaps (Ethernet/Fiber). Check device power and LED alarm indicators and perform troubleshooting activities.
Troubleshooting of copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
Execute reboots and perform initial diagnostics as per the defined process/procedures.
Support incident and problem management as part of a global 24x7 support team.
Racking, Inventory & Vendor Handling. Rack/de-rack hardware and handle decommissioning tasks. Maintain accurate inventory of cables (MM, SM, copper).
Escort and coordinate with external vendors as needed. What You Bring
2+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Datacenter operations or support role.
Working knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and structured cabling.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Comfortable working in night and rotational shifts.
Certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, or other IT infrastructure) are a plus.
