Job Title: Functional QA Engineer (Ex-Goldman Sachs Preferred)
Location: Onsite TX Dallas
Work Type: [Contract 
Rate: 50$ per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a Functional QA Engineer with strong financial domain experience—ideally with prior exposure to Goldman Sachs or other major investment banking environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of business-critical applications through comprehensive testing, requirement validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to design effective test strategies and test plans.
  • Perform functional, regression, system integration, and UAT testing across complex financial systems.
  • Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business workflows.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand application functionality and identify potential gaps.
  • Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or Xray, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Validate front-to-back data flows for trading, risk, payments, or settlements systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices.
  • Provide clear, concise testing reports and communicate testing progress and risks to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5–10 years of experience in Functional / Manual QA within the Investment Banking or Capital Markets domain.
  • Prior experience working with Goldman Sachs or similar financial institutions is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecyclefinancial products (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX), and risk management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  • Proficiency in JIRAConfluence, and Test Management Tools (ALM, Zephyr, QTest).
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work closely with business and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress) is a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands for log analysis.
  • Exposure to Cloud-based environments (AWS / Google Cloud Platform / Azure) is an advantage.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
