As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Banking Platform (GBP) Release management team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

Coordinate multiple microservice release (Hotfix/weekly releases) to upper environment (Multiple Test environments, Performance, Hotfix, and Production)

Help triage CI/CD problems during the release process to production

Provide feedback and help in the automation of the deployment process

Create and maintain documentation of new problems and solutions that arise

Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reports from large, diverse data sets from the deployments

Provide feedback for continuous improvement of the deployment process

Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Contributes, share and support knowledge transfer with technical resources

Develop and deploy cloud-native applications

Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience

Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline

Demonstrate expertise in programming with relevant coding languages

Apply DevOps concepts and Agile methodologies effectively in projects.

Utilize Application Release Automation tools to streamline deployment processes

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining scripts

Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle

Deploy microservices in an AWS environment

Collaborate effectively in a team environment

Hands-on practical experience in triaging support issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and Skills

Experience with Jenkins and/or Spinnaker

Exposure to cloud technologies

Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Container base development (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus

Leverage data and analysis to clarify technical issues and offer feedback to senior and lead software engineers

Program using relevant coding languages such as Golang, Java, and Ruby
