Cyber Watch Analyst

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Clearance: Secret

Description:

HigherEchelon is seeking a Cyber Watch Analyst to monitor AMC's mission systems and network enclaves, provide situational awareness, and escalate incidents to government personnel. This role ensures real-time impact analysis and incident response.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor mission systems and network enclaves using government-provided tools.

Prepare and deliver Cyber Mission Impact Assessment reports.

Escalate incidents to government personnel when predefined thresholds are exceeded.

Coordinate with service providers for service restoration activities.

Provide monthly status reports on incident response and network performance.

Required Skills:

In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, network packet analysis, and anomaly detection.

Experience with Certified Network Defender (CND) certification.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.


Must have a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).

Knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering.

Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., ThreatConnect, Anomali).

Experience with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-61).

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or network analysis.

Certifications such as CND or CISSP are preferred.
