Job Description
Client is seeking an experienced Blue Yonder WMS Consultant to join their customer facing workstream in support of ongoing business/technology transformation efforts currently underway. Successful candidate will have proven Blue Yonder Warehouse Management experience where they have served as a Development/Engineering SME along with strong BY configuration experience.
Initially this is a planned consulting engagement up to 6 months with the potential for extension based upon ongoing need/performance.

Essential Job Functions/Duties
Application Engineer focusing primarily on the Blue Yonder (JDA) Warehouse Management System.
Job responsibilities include functionally designing, technically configuring, and integrating Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS for Distribution Centre, as well as facilitating training for Super User operators.
Manage, Configure Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS and administrate the business policies/procedures.
Ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the business/workflow rules that supports core integration functions and WMS.
Lead functional and technical discussions with the IT Team and warehouse manager including integrating WMS to ERP and other global systems.
Perform configuration of the application based on design discussions, design/maintain reports and labels.
Perform the necessary analysis and consultation to identify business issues, solution requirements, and related benefits.
Aid in preparing and analyzing project plans and documentation
Aid in preparing test scripts and training materials
Work directly with team to gather an understanding of business needs and assist the company in configuration and implementation of the software system.
Work closely with team members to understand company needs and report.
Analyze business requirements and provide appropriate solutions using Blue Yonder (JDA) Development framework.
Maintain communication with Product Manager and Project Manager on scope of projects.
Able to work with cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements within the organization.
Assist in Application Change Management. Assist in documenting all changes and risk assessment of any change.
Assist other Application Engineers in maintaining other Applications within Organization.
Apply software engineering best practices including use of version control systems (e.g., Git), unit testing, and participation in peer code reviews.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated deployment and configuration processes for WMS environments.
Develop and maintain integration pipelines for upstream and downstream systems including ERP, logistics, and customer systems using APIs and file-based integrations.
Author, maintain, and share technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides to ensure smooth handover and knowledge transfer.
Mentor and train super users, new team members, and business stakeholders on effective usage of WMS functionalities and enhancements.
Participate in monitoring system health and troubleshooting production issues related to WMS performance, integration failures, or data integrity.
Use tools such as MOCA scripting, PowerShell, or Python to automate repetitive system administration or reporting tasks.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and facilitate feedback loops between users and technical teams.
Software Engineering and Operational Sustainment Responsibilities
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements:
Desired Experience in RedPrairie/JDA/Blue Yonder WMS Development and Configuration/Set-up.
Advanced MOCA scripting and debugging using BY logs and system tools.
Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder RESTful APIs and Web Service integrations.
Familiarity with JDA Adapters (ERP, EDI, TMS) for seamless system integration.
Exposure to JDA Control Center or BY Command Center for monitoring and alerting.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and perform WMS tuning.
Understanding of WMS patching, version upgrade process, and change logs.
Familiarity with Git repositories and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) to support deployment automation.
Knowledge of custom module development using Java, Groovy, or rule sets.
Desired Additional Technical Skills:
Desired - Experience in/ability to learn on the job - SharePoint architecture, SharePoint site administration & Management.
Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL, MOCA, Report Designer and any other Reporting Tool, Page Builder, Integrator, C/C#, Java, Groovy, Jasper Reports, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience/ability to learn MOCA, Nice Label, BY Page Builder, BY Integrator, ParserHandler JDA
Experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or related field.
Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
Working knowledge of Barcode Scanners.
Experience/ability to learn various versions of JDA WMS (2022 or Higher)
Ability and willingness to develop an understanding of data integration API.
