Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team for a contract opportunity.
Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.
Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.
Contract Duration: 8 Months

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 8 plus years of experience with Java 8 and Spring
- Hands on experience with Angular for at least 4 plus years.
- Experience in Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
- Experience integrating with DB2 and Postgres Databases.
- Experience with Unit test automation (JUnit)
- Experience working in Kubernetes ecosystem - Dockerization etc.
- At least 3 years of experience with Micro service vision (Spring vs Kubernetes)
- Exposure and experience with CICD processes and tools.
- Prefer to get CKAD certificate candidates.
- Local and IBM K8s integration test experience.
- Sabre and Common Service domain knowledge.
- Good Verbal and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.
- Good Collaboration, prioritization and team working skills.
- Should be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with virtual teams.
- Should be able to handle business calls and gathering requirements.
- Should be a fast learner with good attention to detail.
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for design, development, and implementation of multiple Travel applications within Employee Travel Product.
- Work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to understand the dependencies and impact of changes made to the Travel applications.
- Working on both on-prem and Cloud applications.
