Data Center Technician - (Fayetteville, GA)

Positions Available: Lead Technician, L4 Technician, L3 Technician
(Levels based on experience and current openings)

Shift Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • A Side: Sunday - Tuesday, every other Wednesday
  • B Side: Thursday - Saturday, every other Wednesday

Role Overview

  • Lead Technician: 5+ years of leadership or management experience
  • L4 Technician: 5+ years of dedicated data center experience; strong troubleshooting skills for large GPU deployments
  • L3 Technician: 3+ years of data center experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove network cables as part of data center decommissioning
  • Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
  • Perform DBD removal (no scanning required)
  • Follow documented procedures for:
    • Preparing, installing, and performing diagnostics
    • Troubleshooting and replacing hardware
    • Decommissioning equipment under guidance from Leads
  • Stage, set up, and perform basic startups/shutdowns for hardware
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets
  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors
  • Respond to program error messages and assist in debugging
  • Operate spreadsheet and other software tools to manage data and generate reports

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training
  • Industry certifications (A+, etc.) are a plus
  • Experience with Hyperscale Data Centers highly desirable

This is a Contract position based out of Fayetteville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $44.00/hr.
