Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government and private sector markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to be part of our firm.

General Duties:
  • Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom and security.
  • Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
  • Develop electrical system design calculations.
  • Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
  • Perform QA/QC design reviews.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines, owners and architects.
  • Complete code compliance research.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Design commercial and industrial power, lighting, communications, fire alarm and security systems (plans, specs and cost estimates).
  • Complete Arc Flash Hazard Analysis'.
  • Participate in construction management for ongoing construction efforts.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships with open communication at all times.

Skills:
  • Proficient in Revit and MS Office suite of software.
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to technically mentor engineers with less experience.

Qualifications:
  • +5 years Electrical Engineering design experience working on MEP Commercial projects
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Licensure in North Carolina as a Professional Engineer.

Location: Raleigh, NC
Travel: Less than 5% travel, in state, can be expected as part of execution of projects. Less than 1% overnight travel out of state may be expected.
