Education and Experience »
- Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements: 8 years.
- Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs): 8 years.
- Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience: 8 years.
- Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices: 8 years.
- Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices: 8 years.
- Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills: 5 years.
- Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills: 5 years.
Preferred:
- Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements": 3 years.
- Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira": 3 years.
- Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency.: 2 years.
- Documented work experience with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program: 1 year.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs advanced, senior-level business analysis work as well as user experience design work to ensure a positive and productive end user experience.
- Ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and research and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices and will partner with the product team and other key stakeholders on design solutions.
- The business analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- This BA will be involved at some level throughout the entire software development life cycle.
- Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements, including requirements for enhancements post-implementation.
