This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Boeing Test & Evaluation is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support BT&E Wire Shops, Systems and Test Labs in Seattle, or Tukwila, Washington. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration, build plan, and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
Leads and implements manufacturing plans
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
Leads in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies
Required Skills:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree required from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is required.
Knowledge with electrical/mechanical manufacturing process and assembly sequencing
Prior experience working on Boeing Manufacturing System
Experience with using manufacturing tools (PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp)
Preferred Skills:
3 + years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
3 + years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
3 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
Experience with space or military electronics
Experience in Project management
Experience in Work Package Estimating
