AvionX Computing Systems Engineering Manager

Boeing AvionX is seeking a AvionX Computing Systems Engineering Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. This manager is responsible for assuring that execution of the SEIT SOW for the CPF. This position requires highly motivated and proactive individuals with a proven track record of execution of all aspects the SEIT development lifecycle for avionics hardware.

Boeing AvionX is seeking a AvionX Computing Systems Engineering Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. This manager is responsible for assuring that execution of the SEIT SOW for the CPF. This position requires highly motivated and proactive individuals with a proven track record of execution of all aspects the SEIT development lifecycle for avionics hardware.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages assigned AvionX SE workforce developing computing-related products such as vehicle and mission management computers and remote interface units to multiple customers primarily for defense applications.
- Developing SEIT cost/schedule and technical proposals for SEIT CPF proposals.
- Providing senior oversight of SEIT execution of its CPF RAA. Oversight includes, assuring compliance of the SEIT team to process and practices and participating and/or leading the resolution of technical and programmatic issues as they arise.
- Managing the SEIT personnel to include the hiring and allocation of personnel, providing performance feedback, and developing and motivating employees.
- Coordinating with other SEIT senior leadership and other BAV IPTs to implement process improvements and resolve infrastructure and process issues that impact.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with Avionics hardware & software development, design, production, and project management
- Experience in system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification and validation
- Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
- Experience as a functional manager (at least at the K-level)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience managing and executing the SE RAA over the development cycle of avionics hardware and software products (note: this this includes managing and executing the V&V process from receipt of LRU unit level requirements down to hardware and SW component level requirements, as well CCA level and FW requirement development level)
- Experience developing SE cost, schedule and technical proposals
- Experience problem solving skills to address cost, technical, schedule and personnel issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage subordinates as well working with peers and senior level management.
- Demonstrated record of high performance ratings
- Demonstrated ability to obtain special clearances for Boeing Saint Louis proprietary programs
- Participation in Boeing sponsored leadership programs
