Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with prior State or Federal Government project experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java development skills along with a deep understanding of government processes, regulatory requirements, and secure application development. The developer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical applications in a government-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications that comply with state or federal regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including government stakeholders, business analysts, project managers, and QA teams.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to connect with external and internal systems.

Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and accessibility standards (such as Section 508 if applicable).

Write and maintain detailed technical and user documentation following government project guidelines.

Participate in Agile or Waterfall project methodologies, depending on the specific agency or department.

Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely fixes in accordance with government SLAs.

Assist in system and user acceptance testing, including defect tracking and resolution.

Strong experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.

Experience developing applications for state or federal government projects.

Understanding of government security protocols, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases.

Experience with web services, REST APIs, JSON, XML.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).

Ability to prepare and follow detailed government documentation and reporting standards.

Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, public health, or social service programs (if applicable).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), especially those used in government environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

Exposure to Section 508 Accessibility Standards, NIST guidelines, or FISMA compliance.

Experience working with legacy systems and integrating with third-party government applications.
