Role: TigerGraph DBA ,
Location: Bay Area or Austin Texas
Position: Only W2
TigerGraph Platform Expertise:
Installation, Configuration, and Management: Deep experience installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting single-node and multi-node TigerGraph clusters (including High Availability (HA) and Cross-Region Replication (CRR)).
GSQL Proficiency: Expertise in GSQL (Graph Structured Query Language) for database definition (schema design), data loading, query writing, and tuning.
Graph Data Modeling: Strong understanding of graph theory and the ability to design and optimize property graph schemas (Vertices, Edges, Attributes) for various use cases.
Performance Tuning and Optimization: Experience with TigerGraph's internal architecture, memory management, query optimization (e.g., using accumulators), and system-level tuning to ensure high throughput and low latency.
System and Operating System Administration:
Proficiency in Linux administration (especially RedHat/CentOS or Ubuntu, as TigerGraph runs on 64-bit Linux).
Experience with cluster-related services like NTP (Network Time Protocol) for time synchronization and firewall/iptables configuration.
Familiarity with hardware requirements and resource allocation (CPU, SSD storage, RAM) to meet performance demands for a graph database.
Data Management and Integrity:
Implementing and managing backup and restore strategies, including differential backups.
Experience with data loading and integration tools, such as the Kafka Loader, to ingest data efficiently from external sources.
Managing user access and security (e.g., role-based access control, ACLs, and Single Sign-On).
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Setting up and interpreting database metrics and performance reports.
Diagnosing and resolving cluster, query, or data loading issues, often involving log analysis.
