RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a Software Test Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for internal and customer-facing applications.

Summary:
This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality software by collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies, identify defects, and ensure a seamless user experience. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for building automated test suites that are robust, scalable, and reusable. Responsibilities:
* Participate in sprint planning to provide testing input, estimate effort, and help define team objectives
* Design and implement automated tests for both front-end and back-end components
* Maintain and improve CI/CD test pipelines for consistent, reliable execution
* Partner with cross-functional teams to establish product requirements related to quality, performance, security, and accessibility
* Conduct peer reviews, assist with technical training, and provide guidance on test automation best practices
* Mentor junior QA engineers and help evolve automation standards across the team
* Investigate test failures, log defects, and document results in a clear and actionable manner
* Contribute to planning and test readiness during software walkthroughs and code migrations
* Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
* 3-5+ years of experience in test automation and quality assurance
* Proficient in one or more programming languages (C#, Python, Java, etc.)
* Experience with major automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
* Familiar with API testing tools like Postman and web service testing
* Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
* Strong understanding of white box, black box, and exploratory testing methodologies
* Familiar with performance and security testing tools
* Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in Agile environments
* Experience with project management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
