Commissioning Manager - Data Center

Commissioning Manager Data Center Development Location: Southwest U.S. | Salary: to $230k package | Travel: 25%

A rapidly expanding global data infrastructure provider is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the delivery of a major new data center project. This role offers the chance to play a key part in bringing large-scale, mission-critical facilities online ensuring every system operates flawlessly and meets world-class standards for performance, safety, and reliability.

The Opportunity

You ll lead commissioning activities from early coordination through to operational handover, working closely with construction, engineering, and operations teams. Your focus will be on implementing and refining commissioning processes, maintaining strict safety and quality standards, and ensuring seamless transition from construction to fully operational status.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys guiding multidisciplinary teams toward shared project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver all commissioning phases for a high-specification data center project.
• Champion safety and compliance across all commissioning activities.
• Develop commissioning and systems testing plans to ensure complete validation of systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to drive project delivery and readiness.
• Oversee vendor relationships, equipment verification, and documentation for turnover to operations.
• Capture project insights and help standardize commissioning procedures for future builds.
• Support post-handover operations and assist in incident response as required.

About You

• Bachelor s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 4 years experience in commissioning or construction of critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, or similar).
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass background screening.
