What You Will Do
The Cybersecurity Technical Staff will become a team member for a highly visible Innovative Customer Experience (ICE) division, Cloud Services (CS) group that develops and manages Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure services for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The core of your responsibilities will be to assist LANL in deploying Copilot for M365 using cybersecurity principles, assist in developing user training to onboard the LANL community's adoption of AI, and to participate in future AI initiatives related to Microsoft AI products. The selected candidate will also have a fundamental understanding of M365 services such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Purview, and Power Platform. We realize Copilot is an emerging technology, so a background in one of the above mentioned M365 services will help align this new AI service to LANL's changing needs.

Cybersecurity Technical Staff 2 ($94,500 - $154,600)
As an AI Security Engineer your primary mission will be to deliver Copilot for M365 in a manner that keeps the underlying data secure. This includes identifying proper training strategies for the user community, participating in eDiscovery data calls, and actively working to strengthen the policies that protect the data within M365. This position will report to the M365 Team Lead and the M365 Solutions Architects and work with the current Purview Administrators to match Copilot use cases with policies to keep LANL data protected.
Cybersecurity Technical Staff 3 ($114,700 - $191,200)
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, the AI Security Engineer will be required to take a more proactive role in the LANL AI community and participate in the future vision of Copilot at LANL. A successful candidate will have experience leading small teams that are aware of cybersecurity principles and have experience delivering cutting edge technology. This candidate will show proven collaboration with teams across the organization that include security, legal, HR, and executive leadership. They will have experience participating in cyber incidents and audits.

Work Location: The work location for this position has the potential for remote work. Remote work is defined as working offsite that is greater than 2 hours of the Laboratory location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Experience deploying Artificial Intelligence (such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar).
- Knowledge working within governance models and security principles.
- Knowledge in the management of data such as applying labels, developing policies for data types, and restricting access through permission management related to AI tools.
- Demonstrated experience in creating sites for user training, developing communication plans to keep the user community engaged, and responding to customer request using a ticketing system.
