Job Title: Workday US Payroll Functional Consultant
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workday US Payroll Functional Consultant to join our team for a large-scale HR/payroll transformation project. This role is focused on leading and supporting the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll for the U.S. region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll operations, deep functional knowledge of Workday Payroll, and hands-on experience with system transformation and configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the functional design and implementation of Workday US Payroll as part of a broader transformation project.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse payroll business requirements and translate them into Workday configuration.
Configure Workday Payroll modules including Earnings, Deductions, Taxes, Period Schedules, and Payroll Calculations.
Conduct payroll parallel testing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Finance to ensure seamless integrations.
Create functional documentation, test cases, and training materials for end users.
Provide post-implementation support and ongoing system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (US), including implementation and configuration.
Proven experience working on at least two full-cycle Workday U. S Payroll implementation as part of a transformation project.
Solid understanding of US payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday Payroll Certification (highly preferred).
Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules.
Familiarity with Workday Studio or EIB for integrations (a plus).
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments or global payroll transformation projects.
